Camera & Edit: Rowen GrantA short film about the ever-changing cinema that is the sky above Whistler. Due to the high mountain climate, thick clouds can fill the valley floor and disappear in a matter of hours.

Client: Whistler BlackcombEditor: Rowen GrantRTown Television, located in Whistler, British Columbia, broadcasts a tourism program to thousands of hotel rooms located in the resort. This video was aired in the 2010/11 season to show guests what activities are available and where to get the best deals in town.

Camera, Editing & Riding: Rowen GrantMusic: Slightly StoopidFilmed around the local streets of Whistler (BC, Canada), I set up the camera on nearby rocks, letterboxes and whatever else I could find as my tripod was en-route from Australia. Camera moves were all done in post production.

The filmmakers specifically try to out-do each other in terms of gore-factor. Please be warned; some scenes will either make you laugh or throw up (or both simultaneously!).

I made a custom camera mount for my car (which attaches to the underside of the rear bumper) and filmed this in a single afternoon on the suburban streets of Maroubra in Sydney, Australia.

Rowen Grant is a professional Videographer and Video Editor from Canberra, Australia. He has a strong background in film and television editing, ranging from TV commercials to studio programs, short films and long-form documentaries. He has over 9 years of experience working in the entertainment industry. He worked as a full-time editor at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation for 7 years, editing programs which were broadcast to audiences across the country.
Rowen studied at Charles Sturt University (Wagga Wagga, Australia) where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Television Production with a minor in Multimedia. He also studied at the University of Montana (USA) while on exchange there in 2002.
Rowen is proficient in Final Cut Pro, AVID, Motion, After Effects and Photoshop.

RTown Communications is Canada's most advanced digital advertising network, broadcasting into more than 27,300 hotel rooms across Canada, in popular resorts such as Whistler Blackcomb, Mont Tremblant, Thompson Okanagan, Tofino, Long Beach and Ucluelet. I created motion graphic advertising for their digital signage network and edited videos for RTown Television.

EDITOR - AUSTRALIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATIONDuring my 7 years at the ABC I edited a variety of television programs including Triple J TV; a music program with live concerts, documentaries and comedy segments, Catalyst; a magazine-style program documenting scientific discoveries, At The Movies; a film review program and The New Inventors; a live studio program showcasing new inventions.

FREELANCE VIDEOGRAPHER & EDITOR
I am currently taking on selected jobs in Canberra, Australia. Highlights of my freelance work include editing 6 1/2 Pieces, a horror film which received the runner up prize at the Horrorfest Film Festival and voted Film Of The Year in Whistler's Pique magazine. Master of Fluppets is another short film I edited which made the finals in a competition at the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival.
